For the week of June 25, 2012, "ABC World News with Diane Sawyer" averaged 6.98 million Total Viewers and a 1.5 rating/6 share/1.78 million in Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. Growing its Total Viewing audience for the 3rd week in a row (6.92 million on w/o 6/18/12) , "World News" attracted its largest overall audience in 5 weeks - since w/o 5/21/12. For the 4th straight week, "ABC World News" reduced its Adults 25-54 margin with "NBC Nightly News" by double-digits (-28% - 453,000 vs. 631,000) compared to the year-earlier week. Further, "World News" has cut the demo gap with "Nightly News" by double-digits in 16 of the last 17 weeks.

Season-to-date, "World News" is narrowing its gaps with "NBC Nightly News" in both Total Viewers (-6%) and Adults 25-54 (-28%), delivering its smallest Total Viewer (1.01 million) and news demo margins (350,000) with the NBC program in 3 years - since the 2008-09 season.

"World News" outperformed the "CBS Evening News" by 1.28 million Total Viewers and by 129,000 Adults 25-54.
