Teepee Poles Impale Car Windshield as Driver Survives

A woman in Washington state narrowly survived a car crash in which dozens of 27-foot long poles went through her windshield today.

According to police in Deming, Wash., a woman driving a white Toyota Camry was driving behind a station wagon with a trailer full of "Teepee poles" when the station wagon slowed down to allow a dump truck to turn, ABC News affiliate KOMO reported. The driver of the Camry did not notice the station wagon slowing, and slammed into the trailer of poles.

Dozens of the poles on the trailer crashed through her windshield and straight through her back window. The woman was taken to a hospital with minor injuries but is expected to recover, according to the report.
