My husband and I have watched the Made in America segments with great interest since they began airing last year. In the spirit of the message we vowed to, and did, make sure that at least one Christmas gift for each family member was made in America, most of which were purchased from sites referenced on the ABC World News website. I was however quite disappointed after a shopping trip to Freeport, Maine while on vacation earlier this month where we took our business to L L Bean. When we returned home I realized that the cotton, long sleeve T that we had purchased for our son, stamped proudly with the L L Bean label was made in China. Perhaps L L Bean should take the lead from some of the manufacturers that were featured on tonight's segment and bring all their clothing back to the states.

While it is outrageous that so many of our American products are made in China, can someone explain why there is a need for a huge polo pony on the breast of the uniforms rather than let's say an American flag or at least the letters USA?

This is probably one of the stupidest discussions prompted by ABC.....check your home...check your clothing...check whatever you know............outsourcing is a longstanding process in the good old USA, which ABC, Harry Reid and the usual suspects desperately need to show us "we're doing our jobs.".................................................like I said, stupid!

You mean there has to be a "policy?" about this? Isn't it a no-brainer? What were they thinking? But then again, I'll bet the flag they carry in the openning procession will be made in China also.
