GOP Strategist Nicolle Wallace Joins ABC News

This morning ABC News president Ben Sherwood sent the following note to ABC News staff.

I'm delighted to report that our powerhouse political team is getting even stronger as we enter the final sprint to November 6th.

Starting this week, highly-regarded GOP strategist Nicolle Wallace is joining ABC News as a political analyst and contributor.

Nicolle is a savvy expert who has been tested by fire in many campaigns. She got her start in state politics in California and Florida and then joined the White House staff during President George W. Bush's first term. She served as communications director for the Bush-Cheney re-election campaign and as a senior advisor for the McCain-Palin campaign in 2008.

Throughout her career, Nicolle has been known for smart and pragmatic advice. Now she's bringing that same distinct point of view, plus her considerable on-air talent, to ABC News. In the days ahead, she will be a valuable member of our already formidable political team.

Please join me in welcoming Nicolle.
