I first read this horribly written pathetic piece via Yahoo News. I am copying my comment which is not alone in condemning your atrocious writing/editing/publishing standards.

"...like, we were like um in this wicked fire and um like we said like let's get out of here...

I will make a donation for the victims of Sandy and my heart goes out to all of us affected by this storm.

However, the only act of service I can provide for the victims of the sophomoric journalism presented in this piece is to call out the authors and editors that perpetrated it upon us!"

Sincerely,
Scott Webber

Denial is very powerful. With so many homes that caught on fire in other areas, it was the electricity that did it. Your problem is your power company and the people in charge. But I know denial is very powerful and you do not want to hear it. Sorry but it is the power company that failed to shut the power off. They saved the subways by turning the power off, and burnt this wonderful neighborhood to the ground by not.

Burning transformers are your indicator. They cannot handle multiple hits of shorts at the mains. The energy must have been enormous and then just spread.

Look at the power station. My God that was incredible, millions if not billions of watts all cascading into one moment of time. Thank God no one was hurt. Yes your community will come back and the charm of Breezy Point will live once again.

I've been trying to get the specific location of the fire all day. I have family on Breezy and I'm unable to contact them. What burned? I heard it was near Oceanside and Fulton Walk, but I've also heard Utica Walk and B220th St. Any info?
