"GMA" is #1 for the Week of November 26 Outperforming NBC's "Today"

On Wednesday, "GMA" Posts Largest Single-Day Total Viewing Lead (1.342 Million) Over "Today" in 18 Years

"GMA" Continues to Grow Year-to-Year and Season-to-Date Among Adults 25-54 and Total Viewers While "Today" Declines by Double-Digits

ABC's "Good Morning America" won the week of November 26, 2012, in both Total Viewers (5.307 million) and Adults 25-54 (1.966 million), according to Nielsen Media Research, outperforming NBC's "Today" (4.676 million and 1.894 million) by +631,000 overall viewers and by +72,000 Adults 25-54. In fact, the ABC morning newscast led the NBC program by its largest Total Viewer margin in 8 weeks and largest news demo lead in 5 weeks - since w/o 10/1/12 and w/o 10/22/12, respectively. Further, "GMA" has ranked No. 1 in 9 of 9 weeks this season in overall viewers and 8 of 9 in the key adult news demo. Note: Due to coverage of Hurricane Sandy, w/o 10/29/12 was coded as a breakout and is excluded from the season count.

"GMA" outdelivered its year-ago marks (w/o 11/28/11) in both Total Viewers (5.307 million vs. 4.863 million) and Adults 25-54 (1.966 million vs. 1.958 million). The ABC program has turned in year-to-year growth in all 9 weeks of the season in Total Viewers and in 8 of 9 weeks in Adults 25-54. In addition, "GMA" was the only morning program to build year to year in both measures, as "CBS This Morning" was mixed (+6%/-2%) , while NBC's "Today Show" tumbled by double-digits (-16%/-22%).

With the week's No. 1 morning telecast on Wednesday (11/28/12) , "GMA" outdelivered "Today" by +1.342 million Total Viewers (5.866 million vs. 4.524 million) and by +223,000 Adults 25-54 (2.128 million vs. 1.905 million). This represents "GMA's" largest single-day Total Viewer margin (regular telecast) over "Today" in more than 18 years - since 5/19/94.

Season to date, "GMA" stands as the No. 1 morning news program in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. In fact, "GMA" is leading "Today" by its largest season margin in overall viewers (+549,000) in more than 21 years and in the key adult news demo (+122,000) in 21 years - since at least the 1991-92 season and the 1991-92 season, respectively; Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991.

Season to date "GMA" is up in both Total Viewers (+5%) and Adults 25-54 (+3%) versus its year-ago averages, growing the most year to year in Total Viewers and standing as the only morning newscast to grow in the key adult news demo (NBC's "Today" is down -16%/-23%, respectively; CBS' "This Morning" is mixed +4%/-3%, respectively). "GMA" is seeing its largest overall season audience in 7 years and best Adults 25-54 performance in 5 years - since the 2005-06 and 2007-08 seasons, respectively.

"GMA" led "CBS This Morning" by triple-digits in both Total Viewers (+100%) and Adults 25-54 (+102%) .
