If you discriminate against an employee on certain grounds (for reasons of race, religion, gender, age, etc.), there is still such a thing as wrongful discharge. Here we have a very good employee who was doing her job well and not refusing to follow a dress code (I'm sure she wore the white nurse's type uniform that dental assistants wear), who simply had a horny boss with a jealous wife. I'm appalled the Iowa Supreme Court upheld this blatantly discriminatory firing. So who is Dr. Horndog going to hire next? Maybe a male assistant? Will he harass him too? WOLFERT.....................which ruled Doctors in Pennsylvania can have sex with patients too, even though their code of ethics prohibits it, ..........maybe somebody is afraid of the truth coming out when I stated the words Big Money backing Judges, campaigns of the the judges backed by insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies these decisions are all wrong, and to whoever censors these comments, wait till they turn on you, WAKE UP, They have already destroyed lives with these rulings. What's the alternative? Force the dentist to work with someone he confesses he has a weakness for and against the wishes of his wife? Or close the business so he doesn't have to fire her. You can thank the feminist establishment for creating "hostile work environment" which only adds weight to the dentist's plea: if he's not comfortable in the workplace, he has to do something about it. And what if the roles were reversed, and his assistant was a man who seemed a temptation to his wife? Would he have to endure paying someone to be around his wife 8 hours a day? No, he would do the same thing regardless of the sex of the employee. It's not a great situation all around but you cannot legislate that people always keep their jobs.
