CHICAGO - Four people, including two teenage girls and the son of a police sergeant, are under arrest in suburban Chicago on charges of strangling two men.

Adam Landerman, 19, Alisa Massaro, 18, Bethany McKee, 18, and Joshua Miner, 24, were arrested Thursday in Joliet, Ill., 45 miles outside of Chicago.

The four suspects are charged with murdering Eric Glover and Terrence Rankins, both 22. Both men died of strangulation, according to an autopsy.

The four suspects are being held at the Will County jail in advance of a court appearance today, a spokesperson for the Will County Sheriff's Office said. The four defendants face six counts each of first degree murder, with three counts per victim, according to Charles Pelkie, a spokesman for Will County State's Attorney James Glasgow.

The first call to the Joliet Police Department came in around 4 p.m. Thursday, the police said in a press release, with a report that there were two dead bodies at 1121 North Hickory Street in Joliet.

"Once the call came in the State's Attorney dispatched a number of his top felony prosecutors to work with the Joliet Police Department, assisting with search warrants and information regards to the charges," Pelkie told ABC News.

When the police arrived, they noticed movement inside and then entered the residence, where they discovered the bodies of Glover and Rankins. At the time Landerman, Massaro and Miner were inside the home as well, while McKee was taken into custody a little while later, according to police.

George Lenard, the attorney for one of the defendants, did not respond to messages left by ABC News. Calls to Joliet Police Chief Mike Trafton and Cmdr. Brian Benton also went unreturned Monday.

Trafton told the Joliet Patch that the defendants partied and played videogames after killing the victims and evidence showed they intended to dismember the bodies.

"It is the worst thing I've come across in my career," Trafton told the Patch.

According to Trafton, Landerman is the son of Joliet Police Sgt. Julie Landerman.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported that another defendant, Miner, had a criminal background. In 2010 Massaro's father Phillip filed a petition for an order of protection against Miner on his daughter's behalf, with Alisa claiming that Miner slammed her head against a wall and put his hand over her mouth, the Sun-Times reported, citing court records. A year earlier, another girlfriend of Miner's claimed that he threatened to cut her open and use her intestines to strangle her baby daughter, the Sun-Times said.
