i dont care what anyone says those so called football hero’s i call em zero’s, they wanna commit adult crimes then they need to be tried as adults, im not a parent, but this is bullcrap, they need to be made an example of, as for the girl, she should have also known better then to be hangin out with creeps like this, under age drinking, hhhuuummmm ! i have a question ???? where were the parent of these kids ????? and why were they drinking ????? the parents also need to be held accountable

You’re clearly not a parent, if that were your daughter you’d demand justice. There’s a difference between rape and “drunk guys bein’ drunk guys”. I’m a guy, at 28 I’ve had my fair share of drunken nights, but I have morals and a sense of decency. I’ve never once contemplated such a heinous crime. The blame falls on the entire Big Red community, as these types of people are a product of their environment, they’ve been given so much preferential treatment that they believe they’re invincible. These monsters deserve to have their lives destroyed, just as they’ve destroyed the young girl’s life.

SARAH, I agree that they should be held accountable — for what they ACTUALLY DID, which is briefly touching her illegally, with their hands — without premeditation or comprehension of the severity of what they were doing. These were drunk KIDS. I’m just advocating for PROPORTION vs MOB JUSTICE.

I don’t think a calm jury will look at what actually transpired and *unanimously* choose a rape conviction. And the MOB should not be there pressuring them. I think simple assault, with brief jail time, and with no lifetime branding as a sexual predator, would be fitting. Or, if the girl is forgiving (as some reports indicate), then drop the charges and let them resolve it privately.

LINT PORTER , you should do some research. They sodomized her. They have videos and pictures and the boys friends laughing about it and describing it. So what if they were drunk? If the had drove dunk and killed someone they would be held accountable.
Even if she doesn’t want to speak up they should be held accountable for their actions. It sounds like the girl was threatened to keep quiet anyways.
They ruined their own lives cause they’re awful people. The ‘mob mentality’ is just people standing up saying that this type of violence is not ok, whether it be molestation (which you seem to be ok with), rape or anything in between. ‘The mob’ shouldn’t just go home so you can enjoy a high school football game.

My understanding is that the 2 football players mostly took care of the drunk girl that night — taking her with them, dealing with her vomiting, putting her to bed on a sofa, and finally getting her home — but ALSO (in a drunken state) touched her inappropriately. I didn’t hear anything about full-on rape (and I think the peeing report was just a rumor). So they took indecent photos of her as she was unconscious, and also touched her inappropriately with their hands. It’s bad; and it’s a crime; but they don’t deserve hard time — they’re kids.

Also, I understand that the girl was not intent on pressing charges — it was her parents. And I understand that the girl texted with one of the boys and is not particularly angry (in particular, she said she did not feel she had been raped by him). In other words, she is not as angry as her parents or this MOB in Steubenville.

Why doesn’t the MOB GO HOME, and not use this incident as a platform for their anti-male and anti-sports attitudes. If the girl is forgiving, let it rest. The girl actually sounds like a great person. The classiest thing she can do now is to save her two friends from any overly extreme punishment that will RUIN THEIR LIVES.

They took her across state lines. The Feds should have this case. Why is her home state not taking any action? Everyone with has abandoned this girl for a bunch of pigs.

I hope that their charges DO get dropped. They can run, but they can’t hide. Neither can their idiot friends who tweeted and posted photos and videos.
