"GMA" is #1 in Total Viewers and Both Key Demos for the Week

"GMA" Tops NBC's "Today" by 877,000 Total Viewers and 189,000 Adults 25-54

"GMA" Continues to Grow Season-to-Date and Year-to-Year in Demo and Total Viewers While "Today" Declines

ABC News' "Good Morning America" finished as the morning No. 1 program for the 4th consecutive week in both Total Viewers (5.589 million) and Adults 25-54 (2.107 million), according to Nielsen Media Research, for the week of May 13, 2013. "GMA" won the third and final full week of the 2013 May sweep, topping NBC's "Today" (4.712 million and 1.918 million, respectively) by +877,000 Total Viewers and by +189,000 Adults 25-54. Further, "GMA" turned in its largest news demo advantage over the No. 2 ranked "Today" in more than 2 months - since w/o 3/4/13. "GMA" also ranked No. 1 in Adults 18-49, leading the NBC program by +60,000 Adult 18-49 viewers (1.513 million vs. 1.453 million). Additionally, GoodMorningAmerica.com on Yahoo! reached 26 million users in April 2013. It is the No. 1 morning news website and beats Today.com by millions of users each month.

"GMA" has ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers in all 33 weeks of the season. In fact, the ABC morning newscast has ranked No. 1 every week in Total Viewers for 9 months (the last 39 weeks - since w/o 8/13/12 ) and in 44 of the last 46 weeks (behind "Today" only during the 2 weeks of the 2012 Summer Olympics). Further, "GMA's" 39 consecutive weeks at the top stand as its longest stretch at No. 1 in more than 21 years - since before the 1991-92 season; Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991.

In Adults 25-54, "GMA" has ranked No. 1 in 27 of 33 weeks, representing the program's highest number of No. 1 finishes in a season in the key adult news demo in 20 years - since the 1992-93 season.

In ranking No. 1 for the week in Adults 18-49, "GMA" snapped the "Today Show's " 9- week winning streak in the demo.

"GMA" was up over the same week last year (5.111 million and 2.079 million, respectively, on w/o 5/14/12) in both Total Viewers (+9%) and Adults 25-54 (+1%), improving year to year in overall viewers in all 33 weeks this season and in the last 40 weeks overall. In contrast, "Today" (-9%/-15%) has not only seen losses year to year in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 in all 33 weeks of the season, it has turned in losses for the last 39 weeks, starting with the week following the 2012 Summer Olympics (since w/o 8/13/12).

Season to date, "GMA" stands as the No. 1 morning news program in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. It is leading "Today" by its largest season margin in overall viewers (+640,000) in more than 21 years and in the adult news demo (+75,000) in 20 years - since before the 1991-92 season and the 1992-93 season, respectively; Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991.

Season to date "GMA" is up in both Total Viewers (+8%) and Adults 25-54 (+2%) versus its year-ago averages, growing the most in the key adult news demo (NBC's "Today" is down -13%/-18%, respectively; CBS' "This Morning" is up +10%/+1%, respectively). "GMA" is seeing its largest overall season audience in 8 years and best Adult 25-54 performance in 4 years - since the 2004-05 and 2008-09 seasons, respectively.

For the 2nd week in a row, "GMA" nearly doubled the Total Viewer audience (+95%) of "CBS This Morning," while more than doubling its performance in Adults 25-54 (+107%).
