Jeffry…I live in a townhome neighborhood with the wilderness as our backyard. We also had people putting deer feed out and had 13-16 come every evening to eat. They were not a problem and were fun to watch. But when the coyotes started coming..well that became the real problem here! Attract the prey, attract the predator! We took the food away and away went the deer…..a paint gun would have been kind of fun though, especially on the coyotes!!

It is insane the amount of government resources a single person can consume. The city of Jefferson is a small town, and now they are spending taxpayer dollars on this? No wonder government needs to keep raising our taxes.

Keep it up and I am sure the water rates in Jefferson will raise! When that happens we all can thank wild turkeys!

Jeffery, that’s pretty funny! These may be wild turkeys but they have have been domesticated too much and if captured and let go in a truly wild area would probably not survive. Take them to a farm in a more rural area, or let people shoot them for food.

We had a big deer problem in our neighborhood because some idiots were feeding them. If idiot humans would quit feeding them they would go away. I couldn’t hunt the deer since it was a subdivision full of homes so I resorted to using a paintball gun to discourage them. The idiots who were feeding them started asking questions as to why the deer had red, orange, green and blue splotches on them from the paint balls. I had way to much fun.

Another example of the press and a single individual who did not participate in the more than yearlong council meetings, opportunity for public input, and finally council vote. The mayor is bound by city charter to abide by the council’s decision. One lone individual who did not get their way and failed to take part in the city government has aligned with outside forces to disregard the Jefferson city council who are elected by the residents of Jefferson.

Is this America today? One lone individual with outside alliances override the elected will of the local government

In many states it is currently turkey hunting season. You can kill two males in the spring and they are a difficult bird in the wild to bag. These obviously are being fed by humans which caused this problem .

Two words…………………..FULL FREEZER!! lol

We got plenty of Turkeys down here in the SIPP, but I wish we had this problem. It would be taken care of in a few weeks.
