Bryan Castellani Joins ABC News as SVP of Production, Operations, Business Planning and Strategy

Today ABC News President Ben Sherwood announced that Bryan Castellani would be joining ABC News executive team as Senior Vice President of Production, Operations, Business Planning and Strategy. Sherwood's email to the news division below:

I'm pleased to announce that Bryan Castellani is joining the ABC News team as Senior Vice President of Production, Operations, Business Planning and Strategy.

In this new role, Bryan will lead a terrific group of pros including Zach Toback, Brian Kennedy, Elizabeth Barrett and their teams to ensure the highest levels of quality, efficiency and flexibility across all our operations.

A talented team player, Bryan has deep roots within The Walt Disney Company where he most recently served as Vice President and CFO of Disney's operations in Japan.

Since joining Disney in 1995, Bryan has held a number of key roles. After moving to Japan in 1998, he oversaw the finance, and later marketing and promotion, operations for the Disney Store. In 2000, he was tapped to lead finance and planning here in NY for the ABC Internet Group, where he helped successfully guide its turnaround and full integration into the ABC Television Network.

Bryan is no stranger to ABC News - in 2002 he assumed strategic planning responsibilities for the division and in 2004 was promoted to VP of Finance of the ABC Television Network. Overseeing the news division's finances, Bryan proved instrumental in a number of growth initiatives and changes ranging from news coverage to digital.

Bryan's energy, enthusiasm and experience will help forge the way to even more innovation and growth at ABC News.

Please join me in welcoming him to ABC News. He will be visiting over the next week to meet many of you and get reacquainted with old friends and colleagues. He plans to join us full time by the middle of next month.
