Woman Wanted for Allegedly Robbing Her 100-Year-Old Great-Grandmother

What was supposed to be a happy occasion - the 100th birthday celebration of a great-grandmother- turned sour after the centenarian discovered she was missing four pieces of diamond and gold jewelry.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina has issued an arrest warrant for the matriarch's great-granddaughter, 34-year old Christina Marie Johnson, on charges of felony larceny and possession of stolen goods.

Police said the victim, who was not identified, went to her room on May 2 to retrieve her jewelry, which was valued at $7,000, and saw it was missing from the top of a dresser where she'd laid it out.

After the alleged crime, the sheriff's office said Johnson's mother called and said her daughter had taken the jewelry and that she wanted to turn herself in to authorities.

Five months later, police said they are still searching for Johnson, who is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, with brown hair and green eyes.
