"This Week" Out Delivers "Meet the Press" by its Largest Total Viewer Advantage in More than 16 Years

On December 8, 2013, ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" averaged 3.102 million Total Viewers and 860,000 Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. "This Week" outdelivered NBC's "Meet the Press" by 698,000 Total Viewers and 107,000 Adults 25-54, leading the NBC program in the key adult demo for the 2nd consecutive Sunday. In addition, "This Week" beat "Meet the Press" by its largest Total Viewer advantage in more than 16 years - since 8/31/97, based on regular telecasts.

For the 3rd time in the last 4 weeks, "This Week" improved over the previous Sunday (2.695 million and 737,000, respectively, on 12/01/13) in both Total Viewers (+15%) and Adults 25-54 (+17%).

"This Week" built on its performance year to year in both Total Viewers (+17%) and Adults 25-54 (+17%) - 2.653 million and 736,000, respectively, on 12/9/12.

Season to date, " This Week" is up in Total Viewers (+8%) versus its year-ago season average, delivering its most-watched season in 5 years - since the 2008-09 season. In addition, "This Week" is up the most compared to the same point last season versus CBS' "Face the Nation" (+6%), NBC's "Meet the Press" (-5%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (-6%).
