Chicago Cubs Mascot Looks Like Famous Chipmunk

The Chicago Cubs has unveiled its first-ever mascot, and the cub bears a striking resemblance to another furry creature: singing, mischievous Alvin the chipmunk.

"Clark" the bear features a furry tuft of hair poking out from a baseball cap, just like his singing, animated creature cousin Alvin. His little black nose and massive grin look just like Alvin's, albeit with a couple more teeth.

The Cubs appeared to have taken a more alternative turn with their furry mascot: Clark's hat faces backward, and he looks like he might turn deadly the moment you root for the White Sox.

The Alvin-lookalike was poised to make his debut Monday night at a visit to a hospital in the Chicago area, according to the Cubs.
