These games might be her first Olympics but Sadie Bjornsen has already skied the Sochi slopes during last year's World Cup. At least the 24-year-0ld won't be lonely for her first Olympics, her younger brother Erik is also a competitor for the men's cross-country team.

Although Bjornsen was plagued by injuries earlier this season, she was able to recover and compete at the World Championships where she just missed a medal by coming in fourth during the relay.

Bjornsen started out as a downhill skier but switched after she was tired of "getting cold riding up the chairlift."

"Being outdoors and competing in many sports all year allowed me to develop an athletic lifestyle filled with lots of different types of races and competitions," says Bjornsen.
