'Spiderman' Scales Office Buildings to Capture Votes

Look! Up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's a politician!

On the streets of Mumbai this week, that sentiment was true as martial arts trainer and political candidate Gaurav Sharma, known as the Indian Spiderman, climbed high rise buildings in a campaign stunt.

Sharma dressed in a Spiderman costume and climbed up the high rise towers to solicit votes from residents inside, hoping to convince them he could wield superhero-like powers to help them as their representative, according to the Associated Press.

"Hello everyone. This is Gaurav Sharma, the Spiderman. Do vote for Spiderman in this coming election. Love you, thank you so much," Sharma told voters, according to the report.

The election for representative of South Mumbai will take place April 24.
