Police Chief Scott MacMaster of Richmond, Maine said a car's owner called police on the evening of April 19, 2014 to report that his neighbor's goats had climbed onto his car and wouldn't move. (Richmond Police Dept.)

It sounds like a made-up excuse for being late to work, but one Maine resident really couldn’t drive anywhere because goats climbed on his Ford Focus and refused to get off.

The owner was forced to call Richmond, Maine, police  on Apr. 19 to seek help in getting these bullheaded goats off his car’s roof.

An officer who responded managed to find the goats’ owner, who corralled the animals away.

No one was injured, and the goats were not charged with any crimes.
