Daredevil Bello Nock attempted his greatest feat ever this morning: eight hours on a high wire in Times Square, all while conducting consecutive interviews in six languages.
Known professionally simply as Bello, the former Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus headlining clown began his record-setting attempt this morning, and he talked to "Good Morning America's" Ginger Zee about his latest stunt.
"I'm feeling good. Been up here for about an hour now," he said on "GMA." "Trying not to get distracted by the beautiful sights and sounds."
Nock's other death-defying feats include hanging by his toes from a helicopter that was hovering over the Statue of Liberty, rappelling off Madison Square Garden and wire-walking over the length of a cruise ship at sea.
Today's stunt, produced by Mandt Bros. Productions, will stream live online at TheUltimate.com. During the event, journalists and fans from around the world will have an opportunity to talk directly to Nock while he's balancing on the wire. Fans and journalists may either interview Nock via satellite feeds or webcam connections, or in person from a platform near the wire.
"My lifelong dream is to do something that's global," Nock said.
The stunt launches what's being dubbed as the "Summer of Bello" which will culminate in an Aug. 30 event in which Bello will perform his most high-risk effort yet: he'll attempt to perform 15 stunts in one night is Las Vegas. The event will be live-streamed at TheUltimate.com.
