Luxury House on Brink of Collapsing Into Texas Lake

A vacant luxury home is on the brink of collapsing 75 feet into a central Texas lake.

The 4,000-square-foot home, which had views of Lake Whitney, began crumbling into the water after the home's foundation began eroding, according to ABC's Dallas affiliate WFAA-TV.

A crack in the cliff near the home was noticed about one year ago, according to the Hill County Sheriff, and the house was condemned. The owners of the property reportedly moved out two weeks ago.

A small sign in the front yard reads: "EXTREME DANGER, STAY OFF PREMISES."

WFAA reported that the owners of the home will be responsible for the clean-up costs.

The home was built in 2007 and is worth more than $700,000, according to tax records.
