ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" Ranks No. 1 in Adults 25-54 for the 3rd Consecutive Sunday

For 3rd Week in a Row, "This Week" Improves on the Year-Ago Sunday in Both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54

On July 13, 2014, ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" ranked No. 1 in Adults 25-54 (842,000) for the 3rd consecutive Sunday, according to Nielsen Media Research. Ranking No. 1 in the key adult news demo in 6 of the last 7 weeks, "This Week" led CBS' "Face the Nation" (+41,000), NBC's "Meet the Press" (+197,000) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (+522,000). In addition,"This Week" outperformed "Meet the Press" by its largest news demo advantage in 10 weeks - since 5/4/14.

"This Week" posted double-digit increases over the previous week (7/6/14) in both Total Viewers (+13% - 2.761 million vs. 2.454 million) and Adults 25-54 (+36% - 842,000 vs. 617,000). The ABC public affairs program attracted its largest overall audience in 5 weeks - since 6/8/14.

For 3rd week in a row, "This Week" improved on the year-ago Sunday in both Total Viewers (+16%) and Adults 25-54 (+17%) - 2.385 million and 718,000, respectively on 7/14/13. "This Week" has improved on the year-ago Sunday in 11 of the last 12 weeks. "This Week" was up the most year to year in overall viewers, while standing as the only public affairs program to grow in the key adult news demo. CBS' "Face the Nation" (flat/-20%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (+3%/-19%) were mixed, while NBC's "Meet the Press" (-10%/-15%) was both down by double digits.

Season to date, "This Week" is up by double-digits in Total Viewers (+15%) and Adults 25-54 (+15%) versus its year-ago season averages. Growing in both measures for the 2nd year in a row, "This Week" is delivering its strongest performance in 5 years - since the 2008-09 season. In addition, "This Week" is up the most from the same point last season in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 versus CBS' "Face the Nation" (+1%/flat), NBC's "Meet the Press" (-6%/-7%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (+3%/-10%).

In addition, "This Week" leads NBC's "Meet the Press" this season in both Total Viewers (+184,000) and Adults 25-54 (+59,000), leading the NBC program by its largest Total Viewer advantagein 18 years, while beating "Meet the Press in during a season for the first time 20 years in the key adult news demo - since the 1995-96 and the 1993-94 seasons, respectively.
