Season to Date, "Nightline" Leads CBS in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54, and Adults 18-49

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.539 million) during the week of July 21, 2014, according to Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" has ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers in 14 of the last 17 weeks. "Nightline" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" by 249,000 Total Viewers and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" by 76,000 Total Viewers.

"Nightline" was up over the prior week (1.468 million and 470,000, respectively on w/o 7/14/14) in Total Viewers (+5%) and Adults 18-49 (+6%), hitting a 6-week high in both measures - since w/o 6/9/14.

For the 4th week in a row, "Nightline" turned in year-to-year increases (1.354 million, 504,000 and 359,000, respectively, on w/o 7/22/13) in Total Viewers (+14%) , Adults 25-54 (+25%) and Adults 18-49 (+39%). "Nightline" was the only program to grow across all three measures as CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (-6%/-15%/-18%) was down, while NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (-11%/+2%/+5%) was mixed.

"Nightline" aired the week's most-watched telecast (1.861 million on 7/25/14) with its Friday airing, outdrawing all the week's telecasts of CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers."

Season to date, "Nightline" leads CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" across the board: Total Viewers (+246,000), Adults 25-54 (+90,000) and Adults 18-49 (+49,000).

ABC News' "Nightline" received 13 News Emmy nominations, and is anchored by Dan Harris, Dan Abrams, and Juju Chang. Almin Karamehmedovic is executive producer. The program airs weeknights from 12:35-1:00 a.m., ET on the ABC Television Network. Together with "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Nightline" is part of ABC's winning late night strategy of airing news and entertainment programming.
