On August 3, 2014, ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" ranked No. 1 in both Total Viewers (2.587 million) and Adults 25-54 (746,000), according to Nielsen Media Research. In fact, "This Week" has ranked No. 1 in the key adult news demo in 8 of the last 10 weeks.

For the 6th week in a row, "This Week" built on the year-ago Sunday in Adults 25-54 (+16%) - 641,000, respectively on 8/4/13. In fact, "This Week" has improved on the same Sunday last year in 14 of the last 15 weeks. "This Week" grew the most year to year in the key adult news demo compared to CBS' "Face the Nation" (-8%), NBC's "Meet the Press" (-8%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (+1%).

Season to date, "This Week" is up by double-digits in Total Viewers (+14%) and Adults 25-54 (+15%) versus its year-ago season averages. "This Week" is delivering its strongest performance in 5 years - since the 2008-09 season. In addition, "This Week" is up the most from the same point last season in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 versus CBS' "Face the Nation" (+1%/ up less than +1%), NBC's "Meet the Press" (-6%/-7%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (+3%/-10%).

In addition, "This Week" leads NBC's "Meet the Press" this season in both Total Viewers (+199,000) and Adults 25-54 (+63,000), leading the NBC program by its largest Total Viewer advantagein 18 years, while beating "Meet the Press during a season for the first time 20 years in the key adult news demo - since the 1995-96 and the 1993-94 seasons, respectively.
