Season-to-Date, "GMA" Leads "Today" in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54, and Adults 18-49

ABC News' "Good Morning America" finished as the No. 1 morning newscast for the 3rd time in three weeks this season in Total Viewers (5.367 million) and Adults 25-54 (1.959 million) for the week of October 6, 2014, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.

"GMA" led the No. 2-ranked "Today" (4.599 million and 1.805 million, respectively) by 768,000 Total Viewers and by 154,000 Adults 25-54. "GMA" increased its year-ago (w/o 10/7/13) Total Viewer lead over "Today" by double-digits (+10% - 768,000 vs. 700,000) and its Adults 25-54 advantage by triple-digits (+711% - 154,000 vs. 19,000).

"GMA" has won the last 33 weeks in both overall viewers and the key adult news demo since the end of the 2014 Winter Olympics. In Total Viewers, "GMA" has ranked No. 1 in 115 of the last 119 weeks (since w/o 6/25/12), finishing behind "Today" only during the two weeks of the 2012 Summer Olympics and the two weeks of the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Season to date, "GMA" is the No. 1 morning newscast in all key demos: Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49. "GMA" is leading NBC's "Today" by 914,000 Total Viewers, by 261,000 Adults 25-54 and by 59,000 Adults 18-49. In fact, "GMA" has widened its season margins over "Today" versus the same point last season in Total Viewers by 23% (914,000 vs. 742,000) and by a significant 314% in Adults 25-54 (261,000 vs. 63,000), and is now leading "Today" in Adults 18-49 this season.

Ranking No. 1 for the 3rd straight season, "GMA" is seeing its widest season margins over "Today" in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 in more than 23 years - since at least the 1991-92 season (Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991).

During the week, "GMA" beat "CBS This Morning" in Total Viewers (+71%) , Adults 25-54 (+102%) and Adults 18-49 (+113%) .
