ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" Ranks as Sunday's No. 1 Public Affairs Program in Both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54

"This Week" Draws its Largest Overall Audience Since its Season Premiere;

Wins in Total Viewers for the First Time This Season

ABC News' "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" ranked as Sunday's No. 1 public affairs program in both Total Viewers (3.140 million) and Adults 25-54 (1.010 million) on December 7, 2014, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "This Week" took the top spot in Total Viewers for the first time this season, beating CBS' "Face the Nation" (+6,000), NBC's "Meet the Press" (+269,000) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (+1.671 million).

"This Week" surged by double-digits over the previous week (2.636 million and 769,000, respectively on 11/30/14) in both Total Viewers (+19%) and Adults 25-54 (+31%). In fact, the ABC program drew is largest overall audience since its season premiere and best news demo performance since March - since 9/28/14 and 3/23/14, respectively. In addition, "This Week" grew the most week to week in both measures versus CBS' "Face the Nation" (-7%/-23%), NBC's "Meet the Press" (+3%/+10%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday" (+6%/-2%).

"This Week" also saw increases over its year-ago telecast (3.102 million and 860,000 on 12/8/13) in both Total Viewers (+1%) and Adults 25-54 (+17%). "This Week" has turned in year-to-year improvement in Adults 25-54 for the last 5 weeks.

Season to date, "This Week" is up in Adults 25-54 (+5%) versus the same point last season to its strongest news demo performance in 5 years - since the 2009-10 season. Competitively, "This Week" is leading NBC's "Meet the Press" by its largest margins during a season in 18 years in Total Viewers (+149,000) and in 22 years in Adults 25-54 lead (+115,000)- since the 1996-97 and the 1992-93 seasons, respectively.
