"This Week" Claims its First November Sweeps Total Viewer Victory Over NBC's"Meet the Press" in 18 years

Season to Date, "This Week" is Up in Adults 25-54 Versus the Same Point Last Season

For the November 2014 Sweep, "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" drew 2.784 million Total Viewers and 822,000 Adults 25-54, based on Most Current Data from Nielsen Media Research. "This Week" outperformed NBC's "Meet the Press" (2.725 million and 746,000, respectively) during the 2014 November sweep in both Total Viewers (+59,000) and Adults 25-54 (+76,000).

"This Week" claimed its first November sweeps Total Viewer victory over the NBC program in 18 years - since November 1996. In addition, after beating the NBC program on the year-ago sweep, "This Week" scored its first back-to-back Adults 25-54 win over "Meet the Press" during the November sweep in 21 years - since November 1991 and November 1992.

"This Week" was up over the year-ago sweep in Adults 25-54 (+4% - 789,000 on November 2013).

November 23, 2014

"This Week with George Stephanopoulos" averaged 2.986 million Total Viewers and 923,000 Adults 25-54 for November 23, 2014, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "This Week" led NBC's "Meet the Press" by 148,000 Total Viewers and by 55,000 Adults 25-54. "This Week" has outdelivered the NBC program in the key adult news demo in 7 of 8 telecast this season.

For the 3rd week in a row, "This Week" improved on its year-ago telecast (876,000 on 11/24/13) in Adults 25-54 (+5%), standing as the only public affairs program to build year to year as CBS' "Face the Nation" (-8%) and Fox's "Fox News Sunday "Meet the Press" (-9%), while NBC's "Meet the Press"did not air.

Season to date, "This Week" is up in Adults 25-54 (+4%) versus the same point last season. Competitively, "This Week" is leading NBC's "Meet the Press" for the first time at this point during a season in 18 years in Total Viewers (+164,000) and in 22 years in Adults 25-54 (+128,000) - since the 1996-97 and the 1993-94 seasons, respectively.
