Well along with not working well and the risk of serious side effects, here is an article by a former FDA doc

making the case that pregnant women should never receive the flu vaccine.

I have gotten the flu shot once. I have never been so sick in my life - I was at home for nearly two weeks. Before then, my winter illnesses lasted 3-5 days, and I only needed to take off work for 1-2 of them. I have never gotten another flu shot, and my winter illness trend is back to my normal.

I didn't think I needed the flu shot until my second year as a teacher when I got the flu. I've gotten it every year since. When I look at the teachers with whom I taught and who retired around the same time, those of us who got the flu shot every year tended to retire with many more unused sick days than those who didn't get the shot.

For 16 years they have never once gotten the strain correct.
How can they possibly claim 59%. Placebo effect? Bad Study? Which review are you referring to?
What about all the people who got sick or worse from the vaccine iteself?
It does not even provide true immunity, if it works at all, its only for about 3months
Meanwhile it may promote flu like symptoms. I agree with Victor, what the heck is good about it besides profits for drug cos.

The headline should read Flu vaccine, not good and far from perfect. Where is your questioning of various organizations such as sanevax, or vaccinetruth on the effectiveness of vaccines, especially the Flu vaccine which has absolutely no proof that they are effective, and never did in the previous years. I would like to see a study done by a non affiliated organization that would stand up to scrutiny that would show me definitive proof that this vaccine works at all. That won't happen of course, the manufacturers already know the answer, just as the many people that refuse them.
