Most people cannot tell their bosses that they are bored or underwhelmed. Most people can't even tell their bosses that they have too much busywork, process improvements included. Most people in the Corporate World cannot discuss anything of import with anyone in their company, lest it be used against them. Nor do they even have the right to remain silent. The Corporate World is a trap. Businesses design it that way to make employees stay. And then the business whine about lost productivity when their trapped personnel are fat, anxious, and depressed. And as for the, "hey, at least you're employed" comment, most people would probably be better off buying less garbage and not "having" to make so much money in the first place. Golden handcuffs are still handcuffs. Spoken with all of the smugness of an ex-smoker lecturing a man during his smoke break.
