I feel for the family and I’m so sorry for their loss but if my child had just suffered a heart attack and had just had surgery I don’t think I would have them up playing sports so soon after. I guess being so young I’m sure he bounced back quickly and seemed fine. I can’t imagine losing a child. I’m so sorry.

Exactly who is covering their butts incase they screwed up the surgery? It’s up to the parents on whether or not to have an autopsy performed, not the doctor that did his surgery.

They should do an autopsy. I doubt there was a ‘screw up’ as heart surgery is very complex and he’s been walking around since January, four months since gone by, but there was a complication, and unless they find out what it was, other kids may suffer the same fate if they try to repair a defect in this same way. I can’t believe the parents dont want to know exactly what it was. It is not ‘natural’ for a child to die. It will be helpful to other children to do the autopsy! My God, dont be so cheap!!!! If your son was the next to get the same surgery, and you knew THIS was the outcome of the last child who had it, you’d want to know what happened! I hope the parents speak up. I wish them all our prayers and comfort. I can’t imagine this happening to them. Just when they thought they were in the clear. how horrific.

B.S., they’re covering thier little butts in case the operation was screwed up.
