I've taken other tests in the past and scored 132 and 135 - which puts me a little below "Low Genius" (140) and that seems right for me. I have a graduate degree in Chemistry from IIT and also majored in Physics and minored in Biology. I was a semi-finalist in the U.S. Postal Chess Championship in the days before home computers. I wrote the first animated computer adventure game - for the old Apple II. But I've studied under real geniuses, men whose minds sifted through problems requiring strong abstract thinking so fast I could only stare in wonder at how, when I arrived at a possible answer to a problem, typically to make a new chemical compound, they had not only already thought of it, but realized why it wouldn't work and thought about 2 or 3 other methods in the same time period. One of them, Joel Liebman of UMBC, is still a professor there: he got his Ph.D. when he was something like 19. So I doubt the 157. Maybe Mensa's being a little generous.
