But the truth is that this little boy has worth that can't be quantified by the atheist views shared above. He is valuable enough to save to this community he was born into because God assigned that value, not the doctors. In a world ruled without God this boy would have been left to die on the table because he is taking up too many resources to live and he won't likely make it that long. I believe in a God that gives hope that babies born with a 5% chance of living are worth saving. If you are truly an atheist please describe how your view assigns value to this life. What happened was that the doctors worked fervently, trying everything they could think of, to keep that baby alive before finally going out on a limb and trying something they had never done before. All of that tireless work, and Christians can't even be bothered to give them so much as an honorable mention. Not even as an afterthought. I give credit where credit is due. If God wants credit, he can come down here and get his hands dirty. As soon as God spends 12 hours in an operating room giving some poor, unfortunate soul a heart transplant, then I'll thank him for it.
