It's been about 40 years since "The Six Million Dollar Man" premiered on ABC in 1974, and, gentlemen, we can rebuild him.

He'll be "better, stronger, faster," as the iconic intro goes, and - wait for it - cheaper.

If he were put together today, he'd really be more like "The Nine Hundred Thousand Dollar Man," even with inflation.

Between the bionic eye that's allowing a Michigan blind man to see for the first time to the bionic hands used by flesh-eating bacteria survivor Aimee Copeland, we have the technology. Check out our breakdown of some of the parts you might find in a modern-day Steve Austin.

Special sound effects not included.
