Baby Food Recipes From Liza Huber
Liza Huber, author of “Sage Spoonfuls,” and her mother, actress Susan Lucci, visited “Good Morning America” this morning to share three of Huber’s recipes for homemade baby food.
Huber, a mother of three who also sells Sage Spoonfuls baby food storage jars, said making baby food doesn’t take as much time as you might think.
“It’s just about one hour every two weeks. Making food in bulk. Storing it in these jars. Put in the freezer. You’ve got a three-month supply,” she said.
Check out Huber’s recipes and watch her and Lucci on GMA below:

There is no way it only takes 1 hour every 2 weeks, unless she isn’t giving her children a variety of food. My sister home makes baby food every week and it takes 3-5 hours to make a 1 week supply. Of course she has variety, so her child gets the nutrients she needs.

I also do want to comment that the age of the children must be taken into account. If a baby is a couple months old they are going to consume less than an older baby, in turn as baby gets older it will take more time to make the food. Hope this is helpful to someone.

most uncomfortable segment ever! those are NOT recipes! mashing avocado? banana mashing? NOT hard, you do not need a book for that. talk about cashing in on her moms fame. lame, lame, lame. and babies dont need to be eating purees anyway. if you really want to avoid a picky eater, you go with whole foods and the baby-led weaning (BLW) technique. look it up, it doesnt have to do with breastfeeding.

I wish I would have thought of mashing up food for my babies!! What is it about famous people discoveriing motherhood and thinking they are the only ones who know about it? When Susan was mashing food for her kids and working full time, who took care of them when she was on stage and screen? Who cleaned her house and yard? We unfamous people are the norm–not famous people. The Queen of England spent 1 hour each day with each of her kids. Who took care of them for the other 23 hours? Did she mash up food for them too?

This is ridiculous on so many levels:
1 – mashing up an avocado is not a recipe for baby food
2 – if you need a book to explain how to mash up avocado, you probably shouldn’t procreate.
3 – babies under six months shouldn’t be eating ANYTHING, never mind avocado!
Unreal…

Most doctors will let you start with cereals around 4 months and then progress into purees.
