Prepared to Potty: ‘Moms Get Real’ on Potty-Training Kids

ABC News’ latest “Moms Get Real” show, hosted by Juju Chang, tackles a challenge faced by just about every parent: Training your child to use the toilet. Watch below as pediatrician Alanna Levine, joined by Lifetime Moms blogger Beth Feldman and Lifetime television producer Melissa Kagan, explains four signs that show your little one is truly ready for potty practice.

 

 

If your child isn’t showing signs of being ready yet, Levine says “relax.” Relax is at the top of Levine’s five “golden rules” for potty training.

“I cannot remember the last patient that went to kindergarten in diapers,” she told Chang. “…It’s going to happen.”
