You posters on here who think it’s no big deal for them to keep ANY amount of money have no morals or convictions. Aw, hell, it’s only $.03. Yeah, $.03 that DOESN’T belong to them. You’re excusing their thieving ways. Must be Republicans. What a load of garbage. Take that times a million customers and see what you have. Wonder how many customers they have over the course of a YEAR? Yeah, you’re talking hundreds of thousand of dollars here. It ain’t the $.03. It’s the principle. And the principle is, they’re stealing from people.

some bank employee went to jail for several years for doing that to customers for around 5-10 years, he only took $0.001out of each transaction and earned a couple million dollars. Chipotle is a corporation with lawyers, who can prevent the company from being pursued legally.
even $0.001 denominations from several billion customers can add up.
if chipotle is innocent here, does the guy in jail have a right to a retrial? do his customers want their $0.001 back?
or are they both crooks?
how bout we make this legal and allow ALL employees of ALL companies to do this with their customers. what effect would that have on the economy and the spending power of the consumers?
anyone want to try a socio-economic experiment? ^_~
we can get colleges and researchers on board with this :D it will be fun and many people & organizations will profit from their Customer’s spare change.

Why would anyone side with corporate theft, which is exactly what this is. You people saying “oh who cares it’s 4 cents I don’t even use cash” are FOOLS. You are giving your consent to be stolen from. Do the math. 4 cents per order times thousands of customers across the US, EVERY DAY. Those are profits being stolen from everyone in a time when for many people, every penny counts. The fact that people are mocking thrift in an economic downturn shows the spoiled, piggish entitlement mentality of way too many Americans. No wonder ya’ll keep voting criminals into office every year. Good god. You truly deserve what you will soon be getting. The day people act like a rich corporation stealing from everyday working class people is no big deal, is the day this country is officially destroyed.

Wtf!? Since when is it okay for a multimillion dollar company to keep one cent more of my money! That’s bs! People work damn hard for their money and Chipotle has no right to do that!

For those of you saying, what’s the big deal?…What if every company decided to do that?…bet then you wouldn’t be so nonchalant when you see what it added up to year after year.

And btw, every cent does count…I have a change jar that I keep all my extra change in and at the end of the year, I donate the money to charity for Christmas. So yes every single penny matters!!!

I was traveling and stopped in a restaurant where the waitress told me it was company policy to round to the nearest dollar.
She was new and no management on premises, but they were next door to a hotel which recommended them. I let the hotel know the score, and they don’t send their customers over there any more. and $.44 can add up– FAST.
