If there’s one thing most everyone’s looking for on vacation, it’s a good night’s sleep. Besides blackout shades, a comfy duvet and the right temperature, there’s one thing that’s crucial to catching up on your Zzzzs . . . a big-enough bed.

Getting a big-enough bed isn’t a problem at these three hotels, with sizes ranging double king to a double California king. One hotel even has a bed that sleeps eight people, if you’re so inclined to invite seven friends along. Check out these giant hotel beds and let us know in the comments if you’ve come across others in your travels.

The beds in each of the 54 villas at Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve are double the size of a typical  luxury hotel:  two California king mattresses sewn together, totaling two meters wide by three  meters long. Not only are the bed oversized, the soaking tubs in each room are also double the norm. Many villas feature stunning views of the majestic Andaman Sea.
Phulay Bay is the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve property to open, with the second launching this winter in Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico.

The hotel is the first one-to-five star hotel in the world, meaning that guests who stay in one of its 117 rooms may be having vastly different hotel experiences. Of course, it’s the five-star rooms that impress the most, all with at least one feature designed to surprise. One has a swing dangling from the wooden beams, another a  grand piano and one with a bed that sleeps eight people.
