Online hotel review site TripAdvisor has announced the winners of its annual hotel Travelers' Choice awards. The awards are based on 650,000 traveler reviews during the last year.

"Once again, TripAdvisor is thrilled to recognize the finest accommodations based on the feedback from those who really matter: their guests," said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor. "It's the insights from millions of travelers that make these awards so special, as they help others discover the hotels travelers love most - whatever the budget, in all corners of the world."

Four Seasons hotels swept the top 10, taking four of the spots. Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Historic Ka'upulehu, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii took the top spot.

Rounding out the top 10 best hotels in the U.S.:

Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, Wailea, Hawaii

Four Seasons Hotel Seattle, Seattle, Wash.

Post Ranch Inn, Big Sur, Calif.

Four Seasons Resort Lana'i, The Lodge at Koele, Lanai City, Hawaii

Hotel Commonwealth, Boston, Mass.

RiverPlace Hotel, a Kimpton Hotel, Portland, Oregon
