Thanksgiving Craft Idea for Kids: Make Fruity Feather Turkeys

Thanksgiving is a time for family, so while you're slaving away in the kitchen trying to get your turkey roasted to perfection and that pie on the table in one piece, keep the kids occupied with this fun craft activity.

These funky edible turkeys, made from Fruit Roll-Ups, Nutter Butter peanut butter sandwich cookies and candy corn, are easy and fun to make. (Plus, no scissors are required). The treats make a cool party favor for the kids gathered at your Thanksgiving table to take home - or eat on the spot.

Instructions to Make a Fruity Feather Turkey

Prep Time: 10 Minutes Total Time : 10 Minutes

Ingredients

1 roll Betty Crocker® Fruit Roll-Ups® Tropical Tie-Dye® chewy fruit flavored snack (from 5-oz box) 1 Nutter Butter® peanut butter sandwich cookie 2 candy eyeballs 1 piece candy corn Betty Crocker® Whipped fluffy white frosting

Directions

1. Unroll fruit flavored snack; remove paper. With kitchen scissors, cut fruit flavored snack into 5×2 1/2-inch rectangle, cutting one side into a scallop shape.

2. Gather together side of fruit flavored snack opposite scalloped sides. Separate cookie; place gathered side on 1 cookie half to make tail feathers. Top with remaining cookie half. Press lightly together.

3. Shape 2 feet and wattle for the turkey from remaining fruit flavored snack. Insert feet into filling between cookies.

4. Use frosting to attach wattle, eyeballs and candy corn for beak on top of cookie.
