If you are a vegan craving a healthy taco dish but not sure what to do, you’re in luck because startup Beyond Meat has created a beef alternative that tastes just like real meat only it’s made from plant protein. You won’t believe it until you actually try it.
It’s no wonder Beyond Meat is backed by some of the biggest investors in the world from Bill Gates to Twitter Founders Biz Stone and Evan Williams.
The company’s latest product Beef Crumble’s is also reasonable priced; it costs less than $6 per 11-oz package and can be found in the frozen section of Whole Foods.
Beyond Meat’s Founder and CEO Ethan Brown stopped by “Real Biz With Rebecca Jarvis” to talk about how he is transforming the future of food.

1 Tbsp canola oil
11 oz Feisty beef crumble
1/2 yellow onion – diced • 1 glove garlic – minced
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
1/2 tsp cumin • juice from 1/2 lime
1 tomato diced • chopper romaine lettuce
6 corn taco shells • guacamole and salsa for garnish
STEP 1 Warm oil in sauté pan over medium heat
STEP 2 Add onion and garlic and sauté until translucent
STEP 3 Add Beef Crumble and spices and sauté until warm and fragrant
STEP 4 Finish with a splash for lime juice
STEP 5 Assemble tacos using beef crumble, tomato, lettuce and taco shells
STEP 6 Finish with guacamole and salsa as desired
