BUSH PLEDGES DECLASSIFICATION, CALLS N.I.E. LEAKING ‘POLITICAL’

ABC’s Erica Anderson reports: During his joint press availability with Afghan President Hamid Karzai, President Bush said he is asking National Intelligence Director John Negroponte to declassify the National Intelligence Estimate.

The President alleged that the leaking of the intelligence report, which has been out since April, to the New York Times just before the midterm elections was "political."
