The White House is in a huff about a new report from the House Government Reform Committee detailing far more extensive claims of contact between disgraced uber-lobbyist Jack Abramoff and the White House…. And a new Interrogation Bill is about to become law, one criticized by human rights groups as seriously flawed… and Bob Woodward’s new book reportedly describes a White House misleading the American people about the strength of the insurgency….

I for one think the second BIG POLITICAL STORY OF THE DAY, about the interrogation bill, while likely to get less coverage in the media will be proven historically more significant…
