I see your network ran all of the proven lies in Path to 9/11. Gee, can we protest your five-hour hack job/Bush commercial now? No wonder 43% of the American people think Saddam was involved in 9/11. But the truth is no longer important, as long as you can claim some false ‘balance’.
I love Lost, but I will not purchase the Lost Season 2 DVD like I was planning. My family is joining in on the boycott and will cancel our fall trip to Disneyworld.
Heck of a job, ABC. Heck of a job.

What a bunch of snakes you are.
” Boo Hoo, you are protesting what you haven’t even seen…its not the final edit” As in “just trust us”. Now we’ve seen it.
There is NO integrity in your network. Just sleaze.

Jake,
I am sorry to see you completely missed the story of the right-wing political group that actually was behind the making of “The Path to 9/11″. Not only did these people sneak their agenda past the higher-ups in ABC Entertainment, but ABC News appears to have missed this core story as well. This is a shame, especially since you once did such a great job uncovering the real people behind that seemingly “home made” YouTube video that criticized Al Gore’s movie “An Inconvenient Truth”. I wish you had done as thorough a job on “The Path to 9/11″ as you did on that one.

Mr. Trapper, you reported about that Berger scene (“an event that never happened”), this being only one of several fraudulent representations, and that ABC entertainment said “some scenes have been edited, but would not specify which ones”.
Well, reviews say that the Berger scene and many other distortions of truth were still in that ‘docudrama’. So, after ABC/Disney told critics to wait for the final version, all but promising that obvious factual flaws will be healed, it didn’t even manage to take the most prominent falsification out of the final movie. Now how shall we call such a course of action? After all the public debate about the movie, this can’t be explained away as an innocent mistake. Isn’t it fair now to say that ABC/Disney DELIBERATELY mislead the public and that the most probable reason for this is that the responsible decision makers consciously want to spread factually false right wing talking points and are taking side in the upcoming election?
Another point: Have you checked with ABC’s legal department if such a kind of spreading republican propaganda isn’t actually considered to be a campaign contribution? After all, this obviously biased work cost 30-40 millions, if rumours are true, and didn’t generate any income because of the decision to sent it without commercials. Are your colleagues in the entertainment division really on secure legal ground? There might be a story in this…

Thank you ABC for not bending to the foolish people that tried to stop your movie…We watched it…along with our 4 adult children, spouses and the older grandchildren..some of us voted Bush, and some of us voted Kerry…we had a nice disscusiion about the movie after, and felt that it really didn’t make that much of a difference either way…but we are glad that we live in a country that allows us the freedom to choose whether we watch a program or not…whether it be for or against the party we choose.God Bless America, and the freedoms we ALL take for granted.

Mixing entertainment with news or historical reporting is foolish, dangerous and leads to exactly the mess that is ABC’s Path to 9/11.
Until journalists takes back their craft, and divorce themselves cleanly from entertainment, sensationalism and voyeurism, the general public, lacking critical thinking skills and academic discipline, will continue to ingest this junk food combo without reading the label, and then will scratch its head wondering why it’s fat, torpid and tired.
The public deserves better from journalists of all stripes.
ABC and Disney failed all around by funding this project, by allowing a distorted point of view to be advanced under the guise of historical fact, and then by not making fundamental neccesary changes – either by not airing the program or by correcting the errors.
This is one former viewer who has permanently turned off Disney/ABC as its “news” is suspect, and its entertainment is not entertaining.
Imagineering shouldn’t distort history.

I can think of few things more absurd than for former President Clinton or his henchmen to lecture anyone on the truth. He spent 8 years bringing shame on himself, his office and his country. We would all be better served if he stayed to the carnival sideshows as he capitalizes on his tawdry misdeeds.
