Carville Predicts Gore ’08 Run

ABC News’ Paul Fidalgo Reports: "I think he’s gonna run," James Carville told Don Imus Tuesday morning of former Vice President Gore’s potential presidential ambitions.

Appearing as a guest on "Imus in the Morning" on radio and MSNBC, the former Clinton strategist said: "Running for president is like sex, Don. You don’t do it once and forget about it."

This is not the first time that Carville has offered his prediction about Gore, or uttered his line about sex, but it is likely to receive additional attention in the wake of Gore’s high-profile Sunday appearance during the 79th Annual Academy Awards.

Carville also weighed in on the presidential bid of former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark., saying, "He likes people, knows how to relate to them," and added, "I am impressed with this guy’s political skill."

Carville expressed his support for Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., but said that it would be "difficult" for her to win the Democratic nomination.

As for the man for whom he once worked, Carville said, "Bill Clinton is the most popular human being on Earth," and referred to himself as a "Shiite Clintonite."

My preference is Hillary but I would certainly vote for Gore—– if he becomes the front runner.

Al should run. Even though with the way things went down in 2000, I still think he would be elected again. He would need to lose some weight though…

I pray that Al Bore, I mean, Gore will run for President because that will really mess up Hillary’s chances. The same way Ralph Nadar messed up Al Gore when he ran… I hope Osama Bama messes up HIllary as well. I’d like to see them all get in a big cat fight for the nomination!!

I WANT AL GORE TO RUN AGAIN. WE NEED A LEADER.

I love that. Jim Carville says, “Bill Clinton is the most popular human being on Earth.” Meanwhile, the right wing “dittoheads” that have applauded every one of George W. Bushes bodaciously boneheaded blunders fume and seeth with hatred for everything Clinton. As a Russian comedian once said, “What a country!”

The best would be if Gore ran as the candidate for the GREEN PARTY! There is a perfectly good, and- can I say- UNSULLIED party waiting for a real environmentalist to take up the reins. Nader has NEVER, in my mind, been an environmentalist. But we elected Al Gore once and he did not fight for the position we gave him. I have to wonder… will he stand and fight this time?

I wish he would run!! He’d probably get elected. We need a democrat that cares for people in there….and one that people can relate to. We’re not ready for Hilary, maybe in another 4 yrs… and the other (Oboma) is too young & not well known. b

Only Al Gore can possibly save America. I am praying that he will finally decide to run, and he will be elected. He is the best person for the job!

Oh how sweet “it” is and how sweet it would be if he ran with a different VP running mate.

The guy could not win his own state.
Come on!

We need respectablilty and integrity in the White House! Al Gore is the only man who can accomplish that !!!

Al Gore would have been president already if he had carried his own State in a national election. If he can’t even win his home state, how can he win a national election? Kerry lost mainly because he was so boring it was painful to watch him. Why run another dull politician?

I’m a strong Hillary supporter but I love Al Gore too! Unless something drastic changes though, I would still be in Camp Clinton….and I doubt America looking for a new leadership will go with another Clinton-Gore Admin….I don’t like Obama very much but if a Clinton-Obama ticket can win then I’ll definitely support it.

Sorry to say but Hillary or any northern liberal will not be able to win the 2008 election. Obama is out too for the same reason.
Al Gore won in 2000 make no mistake about that. And, now that the country is wise (I hope) to the smear campaigns of Karl Rove, he will win! Unfortunately, he will have one huge mess to clean up after the Bush orgie!

Al Gore didn’t win his home state because Tennessee has been taken over by right-wing religious nutcase voters. No Democrat could have won Tennessee. Gore will win at least four to five more states than Kerry did if he runs, but not Tennessee. However, he wouldn’t need to win Tennessee to be elected

God forbid we make the mistake of electing another crazy Southern conservative.
