McCain and Schwarzenegger Plan California Flyover
ABC News’ Matthew Zavala Reports: Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, R-Calif., and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., will be in Long Beach, Calif. on Wednesday to do an aerial tour of the 710 freeway, shipping terminals and do a flyover over the Port of Long Beach.
The purpose of the tour, according to Schwarzenegger spokesperson Adam Mendelsohn, is for the governor to show McCain what kind of action he is taking to limit greenhouse gases by introducing low carbon fuel standards.
Schwarzenegger is hoping that the same type of legislation can be undertaken nationally.
The two men are planning a joint press conference in California at 1:30 pm ET. Schwarzenegger’s spokesman advises that Schwarzenegger will not be endorsing McCain for president at tomorrow’s press conference.
