Obama Interrupted by Anti-War Protestors

ABC News’ Jake Tapper Reports: In a big hometown rally at the University of Illinois-Chicago, protestors twice interrupted Sen. Barack Obama’s, D-Ill., speech with anti-war chants demanding that he cut funding for the war in Iraq.

"Obama stand up!" read a banner unfurled from the bleachers. "Stop the funding!"

The protestors first interrupted as Obama was discussing health care, and later when he was addressing energy independence. Obama nicely asked them to relax and said he would get to their point in a second.

After the second interruption, the crowd started a counter-chant, "Throw them out!" which Obama resisted.

Security, however, quietly escorted the protestors out of the arena.

Later Obama commented, "I’m glad that they were there, and I mean that because they have a sense of urgency."

He then reminded everyone that he’s been against the war from the beginning.

Flip. Flop. Flip. Flop. Be a man and stand by your misguided convictions.. cut the funding like you should have been doing from the start if you actually cared about your stances instead of politically pandering. You’re almost as bad as carpet-bagging Hillary.
