Scalia’s Daughter Arrested
EmailABC News’ Dennis Powell Reports: Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s daughter, Ann S. Banaszewski, was arrested outside Chicago Monday night and charged with driving under the influence and endangering the life of a child.
Three of Banaszewski’s children were reportedly in the vehicle at the time of the arrest.
Here’s the full release from the Wheaton Police Department:
”ON FEB. 12, 2007 AT APPROXIMATELY 7:25P WHEATON POLICE DEPT OFFICERS RESPONDED TO A REPORT OF A POSSIBLE INTOXICATED MOTORISTS AT THE McDONALD’S RESTAURANT LOCATED AT 2030 S. NAPERVILLE ROAD.
OFFICERS OBSERVED THE DESCRIBED VEHICLE AND MOTORIST DRIVING AWAY FROM THE RESTAURANT AND STOPPED HER AT GAMON AND LONGFELLOW STREETS IN WHEATON.
THREE MINOR CHILDREN WERE IN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME OF THE STOP. AN INVESTIGATION REVEALED PROBABLE CAUSE FOR THE ARREST OF THE DRIVER, ANN S. BANASZEWSKI, FEMALE ADULT, DOB 9/2/61, WHEATON RESIDENT.
MS. BANASZEWSKI WAS CHARGED WITH DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE AND ENDANGERING THE LIFE OF A CHILD. SHE WAS PROCESSED ON BOTH CHARGES AT THE WHEATON POLICE DEPARTMENT AND WAS RELEASED ON A RECOGNIZANCE BOND.
A COURT DATE WILL BE SET BY THE DUPAGE CIR. COURT CLERK."

Reading some of the messages posted by Scalia haters reminds me of GWB’s finest accomplishments of his term: getting Alito and Roberts in along with Scalia. This is great news for the American people and the Constitution. The left just can’t accept that, if they had just closed their mouths, they would have gotten Harriet Miers instead of Scalia-like Alito. When Pres. Guiliani or Pres. McCain replace Justice Stevens in a few years, the left will be left with rewriting the Constitution in their law school classes!

We need only keep track of the volume of stories that the msm put out relative to the subject’s political leadings or those of someone connected to the subject.
You can bet on it that you will find most of the negative stories focussed on Republicans or conservatives.

Our local (Wheaton) Daily Herald’s headline read: “Woman tied to Scalia faces DUI charge.” Some young politically correct editor attempting to make his way in the goofy liberal newspaper world. WOMAN TIED TO SCALIA? What does THAT mean!

So now that her sentence has been handed out (first offense: no driving for 6 months, 140 hours community service), any of you judgemental “save the world and screw the conservatives” types want to eat crow. This woman is a blessing to her family and this planet, and is doing her time for her admitted mistake. Stop spending so much time thriving on others misery and start getting your own house in order!
