Conyers Authorized to Subpoena White House Staff
ABC News’ Jake Tapper Reports: The House Judiciary Committee’s subcommittee on commercial and administrative law voted Wednesday morning to authorize Chairman John Conyers, D-Mich., to issue five subpoenas to compel testimony from White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove, former White House counsel Harriet Miers, deputy White House counsel William Kelley, and White House political deputy Scott Jennings, as well as former Justice Department chief of staff Kyle Sampson.
This vote does not mean that the subpoenas will be issued today — or even, necessarily, ever.
"We’re hoping never," a House Judiciary Committee source says. "Chairman Conyers is now authorized to issue a subpoena whenever he feels like it. This will hopefully strengthen our hand in negotiations with the White House to get testimony under oath."
Thursday’s Senate Judiciary Committee vote will be whether or not to authorize Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., to issue three subpoenas for White House aides Rove, Miers, and Kelley, which also does not mean that subpoenas will definitely be issued.

What are you waiting for???!!!???
For months all we’ve been hearing about is how the “new and improved” congress is going to make some changes.
Now their sitting on subpoenas?
On a personal note: I formally apologize for backing the democrats in the mid-term elections last year and am embarrassed and I take full responsibility for my actions.
Therefore, I resign my position as hot dog vendor (Dogs R Us, corner of Jefferson and 64th), effective immediately.
