Hunter Keeps Eyes on the Skies

ABC News’ Matthew Zavala: Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., sent a stern message to China that, if elected president, he would make an extra effort to protect the United States’ satellites.

Referencing China’s Jan. 11 missile test that took out a satellite, Duncan said, "There’s a rule of a law in warfare: protect your eyes."

The long shot Republican contender added, "We have our eyes largely in space and when China shot that satellite out of space that shows they are contemplating having a military capability to be able to take out the eyes of potential adversaries."

Hunter spoke to members of the American Legion at their 47th Annual Washington Conference held in Washington, DC.
