Politico: Santorum Says Anyone But McCain
ABC’s Jake Whitman Reports: Former Sen. Rick Santorum tells Politico.com’s Carrie Budoff that he’ll support anyone but John McCain in the 2008 Republican presidential primaries.
"I don’t agree with him on hardly any issues," Santorum told Budoff. "I don’t think he has the temperament and leadership ability to move the country in the right direction."
Santorum suggested that McCain also wasn’t as solidly anti-abortion as he would like. “He may be pro-life, but I served with him for 12 years, and I know how pro-life he is,” Santorum said.
Responding to the comments, McCain spokesman Danny Diaz told Budoff that McCain was a “well-known and respected conservative.”
Diaz told Budoff McCain favors overturning Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion, and has picked up support from other conservative senators.
Santorum signed a contract on Thursday as a Fox News contributor.

Rick Santorum..um…who cares what he thinks. I mean really, he’s Rick Santorum.

And Santorum is right! Just look where his views got him. He got booted from his job. Just the guy you want supporting you, a loser.
Maybe Santorum can round up Bob Ney and all the Repubs that got kicked out together and start a new party, the Ultra Conservatives! The party that no one asked for nor wants!

The real problem is that we haven’t got good people running. Look, does anyone think Hilary WOULD EVER be fair or reasonable — not unless you’re a contributor.
And remember, she was Bill’s bagman in AK. (She made money in trade after trade in the futures market as long as her husband kept the Tyson meat packing company happy.)
So McCain, work it out — you do need to be a little gentler, but gosh, you were an NVA POW for six years; I’d be in pretty rough shape too. Go for it!

Never mind what Santorum thinks about McCain. It’s what I think about McCain that counts. I think that the Senator could do more for our veterans and other important national issues staying in the Senate. He’s just not Oval Office material, period.
Take it from a WWII vet.

No McCain in 2008, he would be a poor choice for the Republican candidate – I still remember the Keating 5 scandal from the savings and loan problems of the 80′s….

If the voting public had any sense, Santorum would be President.

McCain is very smart and a real patriot. Some people just do not like
that he is an independent thinker.

We need more people like Santorum that know the difference between right and wrong. If we did, this country would be back on track as the foremost republic in the world. Like we were 230+ years ago when we started.
