President Bush Defends Gonzales, Denies Attorneys were Fired for Political Reasons
EmailPresident Bush expressed confidence in his Attorney General Alberto Gonzales today and denied that the firing of several U.S. attorneys was politically motivated. "Mistakes were made and I’m not happy about it," the president said adding that he has confidence in Gonzales.
Mr. Bush said he talked to Gonzales about the need to go up to Capitol Hill and make clear to members of both political parties why the Department of Justice made the decisions that were made.
On the issue of whether or not the judges were fired for political reasons Bush said he has heard about the allegations and that they are not true.
The president made his comments at a press availability in Mexico.

Well of ccourse he supports his dummy,just as he supported Brownie/Rumsfeld/Scooter and God knows who else.Of course he lied and denied that they were fired for political reasons.When will this country wake up and tell the plain and simple truth?We have a pathylogical LIAR I REPEAT,liar,for a president.His entire administration,indeed the entire Republicon party just continue to repeat his lies over and over.The so called press just go along for the ride.
